About Us

In 1989, when Jane Hudson was at charity fairs selling her home-made beeswax polish and blue & white china, she found it difficult to find unusual, good quality and inexpensive presents for the male members of her family. That prompted her to start Presents for Men – and a whole new business was born.

Over the years the business has grown considerably, becoming one of the foremost mail order gift companies in the UK. We now sell gifts for men, women, teens and children as well as practical products for the house, garden and travel. In 2014, Presents for Men was rebranded Qwerkity to reflect this broader offering.

We remain a family business, retaining our original aims: to sell good quality, unusual, practical and fun products at affordable prices.

Where possible we buy British but we also scour the world for new and original products we can’t find in the UK. We are leaders, not followers – and regularly feature products before they are seen elsewhere.

Our business has been built on customer recommendations, loyalty and repeat orders. Indeed, some of our most successful products have come from the suggestions of our customers, from whom we love to hear, so please let us have your ideas and feedback (help@qwerkity.com).
